mis·sion·al church (mish´ən·əl chûrch)  n.  1. a church that seeks to orient all of the life of the church around God’s mission (i.e., to conform the vision, programs, and activities of the church to the mission of God in the world.)  2. a church that discerns how its particular congregation’s calling is aligned with God’s mission in the world.  (i.e.: omaha·underground·church.)
